It’s day 53 of my picture a day weight loss journey and I am super excited about my progress so far.
I’m back to a full 10 pounds lost since I started and I got my workout done early in the day so that I wouldn’t make excuses later this evening. I know myself well enough to know that I start to taper off heavily after 4pm and lose almost all motivation to do anything productive. That goes for everything in life, not just working out. I’m most productive between 10a-4p and I get the most done when my youngest is taking his afternoon nap between 2p-4p. Knowing this, its my responsibility to work out early in the day, when I’m motivated and have the energy. After that, all I want to do is hang out with my kids and do fun things like cooking, crocheting, crafting, and having play time with my littles.
Today’s dedication was key for me. I’ve been off my game the past two weeks and I knew that if I kept giving in to discouragement, I would soon be back to where I started. I’ve worked WAY to hard the past two months to let that happen, so I decided to try and see if I am actually making any progress – the proof would be in the *pictures* (pudding, you know what I mean) after all. And, lo and behold, when it looked, there it was – right there!
On the left is day 15 and on the right is today, day 53. I can see the biggest difference in my midsection, “right under my boobs,” as mu husband says 🙂 But I can also see it in the overall tone of my body. I feel and (feel like I) look much firmer. I know I’m stronger and more agile, and I love feeling strong.
This journey is full of ups and downs, excuses and victories, moments of triumph and moments of weakness, but I am learning a TON about myself and I know that I’m growing in many, many ways.
God is so good and His strength is never ending.
May I continue to bring Him glory as I strive to honor, protect, and nurture His temple. it is a gift and I will do everything I can not to squander it!
