It’s day 198 of my picture a day weight loss journey and a very happy 4th of July to you all!
We knew we had a long day planned with family, fun, and tons of food (we wouldn’t normally eat), so Andrew and I worked out first thing when we woke up this morning. Today was a strength day for me which doesn’t involve any videos. I do a circuit of upper and lower body lifting exercises in my kitchen and I LOVE it! I’ve learned that on strength days its especially important to stretch well after my workout and I’m pretty sure that’s why I’m not in debilitating agony right now.
We spent the rest of the day in utter bliss, celebrating at my sister’s house, eating mounds of carne asada, indulging in snacks and sweets we hardly ever eat these days, and playing our all-time favorite game, Settlers of Catan.
I love days like this. Faithfulness and dedication coupled with relaxation and a little bit of indulgence. A great way to commemorate the freedoms we have been granted by those who have gone before us and sacrificed their lives so that we can worship God, serve, love, and obey Him in all our ways.
What a good God we serve and what a good gift He has given us as citizens of the United States of America.
Until Next Time My Friends,
